Melissa Hartshorn
Chief Human Resources Officer
Melissa Hartshorn is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Guy Carpenter and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.
Melissa brings extensive experience to this role in the areas of workforce planning, talent management, rewards and strategic business partnership. Most recently, Melissa served as the HR Leader for our Global Operations and Global Strategic Advisory organizations at Guy Carpenter. In this leadership capacity, she advanced the people strategy for these two organizations.
Prior to joining Guy Carpenter in 2018, Melissa held HR leadership positions at Mercer and served on the Marsh McLennan talent management team. Melissa started her career in the Executive Search industry, prior to joining Marsh McLennan in 2011.
Melissa graduated from West Virginia University’s School of Business & Economics.
